Nachtschwärmer*

With Nachtschwärmer*, starting in 2026, we are launching a new, forward-looking project that makes it easier for people who need support to access cultural and nightlife events.

Our goal is for everyone to be able to participate in cultural events on their own terms, regardless of their abilities or support needs. Whether it’s a concert, a theater performance, a party, an art opening, or a festival: culture should be accessible to everyone.

Nachtschwärmer* creates an inclusive range of leisure activities. Trained young volunteers accompany people with disabilities as they participate in evening and nighttime events. Support is provided on an equal footing and begins at an agreed-upon meeting point. This fosters authentic encounters, new friendships, and more self-determined participation in social life.

Nachtschwärmer* connects:

  • young people with and without disabilities
  • institutions and residential facilities for people with support needs
  • cultural venues that want to become more inclusive
  • volunteers who want to actively shape inclusion

Together, we create new opportunities for everyone involved and, step by step, make inclusion in cultural and nightlife a matter of course.

The project builds on the successful experiences of our pilot project. Over 20 guided outings have already taken place, with consistently positive feedback from participants, guides, and cultural venues.
